When it comes to car owners, Pat Doherty has pretty much done it and raced it all. Pat has been in the sport for over 40 years and has quite the history. For starters Pat was the owner of the first Cavalier bodied SK Modified to race at the Waterford Speedbowl, and with past legends driving for Pat such as: George Allum, Don Bunnell, Glynn Shafer, Leo "Ace" Hill, Mark Geer, Keith Williams, Fred Desarro and who could forget Bob Potter just to name a few, it is no wonder why he has earned respect in the sport of auto racing. Pat resides in Westerly RI and is the owner of "Pats Auto" and during his down time he enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 41 years Suzanne and Family, especially his Grandchildren.
Driver
Chris Correll
Chris Correll has been behind the wheel of just about every division for just over 27 years. He is now back behind the wheel of an SK Modified. His hometown is Waterford, CT. and when he is not driving or turning a wrench for Pat, he spends quality time with his two children and has been known to "wet" a fishing line when he can.
Car Chief
Dennis McGouran
Another Westerly RI. native is Dennis. He brings over 19 years of racing experience with him and knows a thing or two about the car and how to make it go. Dennis spends countless hours with Pat making sure the car is in tip top shape before it is loaded into the Hauler. Dennis is also a Fire Fighter for the Westerly Fire Dept. and we thank him and all Fire Fighters for their dedication and bravery !
Spotter
Scott Rogers
Scott has been Chris Corrells spotter for several years, following him from race trucks to the now "Pats Auto" machine. He started his racing hobby 19 years ago, going from tire changer to owning a Ford race truck. Scott keeps Chris out of trouble when the action gets tight. When Scott is not at the track or race shop he is practicing or competing in artistic roller skating.
Logistics
Robert "Bobby" Murray
Bob has been with the team for several years in the logistics dept. Bob has an interesting list of past employment that he applies to the precise documentation of critical data that the car provides after comming off the track, ranging from Senior level managment involving highly classified projects for the Navy's Ohio class submarines to Audio/Visual Coordinater for MGM.
Tire / Chassis Specialist
Frank
Tires & Chassis
Don Super Don Super has been around the race track for as long as anyone can remember. In Don's long career of racing, he has owned and driven a few cars ranging from stock cars, Pro Four Mods, Sk Mods, Drag cars and is the current Owner/Crew Chief of the Hooters # 7 Ford race truck.
Shop Foreman
Bandit
This is Bandit. Alot can be said about this guy. Bandit has been in the Doherty Family since day 1 (He is sensitive about his age) Bandit rarely leaves Pat or Suzannes side. He is always involved with whatever is going on and gives advice when he can. When he is not at work he can be found with a tug toy or ball....well actually that is what he does at work so I guess only Pat and Suzanne knows what he does on his days off. One of Bandits favorite quotes " If I where there, that would have never happened ! "
